Miller Park Parking, a Gateway to Grilling and Brewers fun

Even though County Stadium in Milwaukee is long gone, the tailgating in the Miller Park parking lot continues. Finding Miller Park parking for Milwaukee Brewers opening day can be a struggle. Some specific games such as Cubs games make it hard to find parking as well. Getting to the ballpark a couple hours early helps assure you a space for your car. You might as well enjoy a bit of grilling when you are there.

We may not have Robin Yount, or Paul Molitor swing at the plate, but we still have the tailgating fun.

Metavante Club

Growing up in the Milwaukee area, Brewers games and Miller Park have always been a summer staple for me but only as I am getting a little older am I realizing how fantastic of a ball park we really have. One great feature I am really starting to appreciate is the Metavante Club.

Located in the left field corner of the 300 or club level, the Metavante Club is a private restaurant/bar that offers a great panoramic view of the park and a more personal experience. With their great menus and buffets, it is a great place to celebrate special events with friends and family or to entertain clients. It’s easy to get comfortable in the multi-tiered, 200 seat dining room and still have a great view of the game. There is also an outdoor patio area for those looking to mix it up and get outside and still enjoy a more upscale environment. If you’re looking for a place to catch up with other fans and chat about the game, their sports lounge is an excellent place for that as well. Regardless of the occasion, the Metavante Club is a great place to check out your next Milwaukee Brewer game in style.

Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training and Miller Park Milwaukee

Even though Milwaukee Brewer fans are starting to bundle up for the cold winter to come, plans for spring training 2010 are already in full swing. The home of the Brewers during spring training is Maryvale Park, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Maryvale Park is a great place to catch a spring game with their recessed playing field and shaded concourse. The 7,000 person capacity guarantees an intimate and relaxed fan experience. Miller Park Milwaukee may be cold, but Arizona is just fine in March.

The spring training games begin March 4th and run through April 3rd. The first home game on March 6th, the Brewers will be playing the New York Giants. Throughout spring training, they Brewers will play many teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Kansas City Royals and even their rivals the Chicago Bears. The team will be travelling throughout Arizona to playing all around the state in Scottsdale, Tucson, Tempe and Mesa among others.

The Brew Crew will be returning to their home turf at Miller Park in the beginning of April to play the Detroit Tigers on the 2nd and 3rd. Though it seems far off, fans are starting to get excited to see the new Brewers line up in action and enjoy all the fun of going to tailgate at the ballpark and see your favorite team in action!

2010 Milwaukee Brewers, A Great Christmas Gift

I'm already excited about the 2010 Milwaukee Brewers tickets. Season ticket holders are starting to see the forms in the mail. It's renewal time for all Milwaukee Brewers fans. With that being said. I'm thinking about giving my dad a pair of seats to the Miller Park opening day game. I just hope that the envelope doesn't get lost amongst all the Christmas presents under the tree.

For me, I would like the gift of solid Brewers pitching. That's all I want for the holidays. All my Milwaukee Brewers Fans think the same thing. Bring on the good pitching.

Milwaukee Brewers Decline 2010 Option on Braden Looper

Last week it was decided by the Milwaukee Brewers to decline the $6.5 million mutual option on pitcher Braden Looper instead opting for a $1 million buyout. Later the same day, Looper filed for free agency. After signing with the team in February, the right-handed pitcher went 14-7 with 5.22 ERA in 34 starts this year. With the current bullpen (or lack thereof) status, Milwaukee will most likely amp up their already on going search for starting pitchers.

Milwaukee Brewers 2010 Pitching Roster | Gagne Need Not Apply

He had a dismal 5.44 ERA in the first half of the 2008 season. Some say he was never the same pitcher after the steriod scandal. Perhaps some will argue that Eric Gagne was a better pitcher after healing up from his injury. He did not allow a run in all but one of his last 13 games. Still, the risks are too high and the Milwaukee Brewers pitching roster for 2010 will not include Gagne.

Gagne went on to play for the Quebec Capitales. At age 33, he thinks he's capable of taking one more shot at major league baseball. It can be certain that it will not be on the mound at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers Trade JJ Hardy, Carlos Gomez Now In The Milwaukee Brewers Uniform For Good

Brewers fans have been waiting for has finally come – the trade of JJ Hardy. Though it seems that most female fans are sad to see Hardy being traded to the Minnesota Twins for Carlos Gomez, Milwaukee Brewers management are excited by the new options this swap will give the team.

Carlos Gomez is a centerfielder and has played for both the New York Mets and the Minnesota Twins prior to joining the Brewers. It was previously thought that Hardy would be traded for a starting pitcher but GM Doug Melvin must have some tricks up his sleeve to improve the bullpen with other trades.

The Milwaukee Brewers ticket prices have gone up for next year, but the franchise will be saving over $4 million in 2010 with Gomez making only a mere fraction of Hardy’s $4.6 salary and Gomez will be spending three years on the team before hitting free agent status, unlike Hardy’s two years. Though the World Series just wrapped up a couple weeks ago, Brewers fans can’t wait until 2010 to see the new lineup and this is just the beginning of the transformation.
